Drupchens: Sponsoring drupchens to cultivate peace & harmony in the world
Since 1996, ACEC has been helping to organize an annual drupchen, an elaborate and intensive ritual meditation that takes place over a period of ten days. Drupchens are also frequently arranged in the East, at various points in the Tibetan calendar. Since 2005, we have focused more on sponsoring drupchens in Asia. Drupchens have many profound benefits, including helping to purify or prevent obstacles and helping to create peace in the world.
Pema Wangyal Rinpoche has requested Kyabje Trulshik Rinpoche to perform several drupchen ceremonies for us in Nepal. In addition, drupchens are frequently organised in the East, at various points in the Tibetan calendar. In particular, on the anniversary of the parinirvana of Kyabje Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche, two drupchens will be organized, one by Neten Choling Rinpoche and Orgyan Topgyal Rinpoche in their monastery at Bir, and one by Shechen Rabjam Rinpoche at Paro in Bhutan. In order to maintain a connection with these powerful practices, our lamas have asked the organization to offer its financial support. If you would like to support this project, please send us your contribution, which will be forwarded to the monasteries in order to subsidize the drupchens. You can also make an online donation. For more information see the Songsen section on how you can get involved.
