Kyabje Trulshik Rinpoche
Throughout the year, and in particular during the summers, programmes are organized, focusing on combined study and practice, covering basic Buddhist teachings, meditation and their application in everyday life. The courses are taught by Pema Wangyal Rinpoche, and Jigme Khyentse Rinpoche, as well as other lamas, regularly invited to teach at Chanteloube (see visits by teachers).

Traditional studies
Buddhism possesses a vast wealth of philosophical and metaphysical teaching – the aim of which is to foster a more effective understanding of the mind and the phenomenal world. Inspired by the shedra or monastic universities of Tibet, the Chanteloube program also provides advanced courses based on principal Buddhist texts. The courses focus on the essential aspects of Buddhist philosophy, expounded according to the teachings of different traditions, and in particular, the Nyingma tradition.
Over the last years, for example, in depth teachings have been given on Chandrakirti's Madhyamakavatara, as well as Asanga’s Uttaratantra Shastra, by Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche, Jigme Lingpa's Treasury of Precious Qualities by Shechen Rabjam Rinpoche and Khenchen Pema Sherab, Ornament to the Middle Way and Letter to a Friend by Khenpo Pema Sherab Rinpoche, and Mipham Rinpoche's Sword of Wisdom by Dzigar Kongtrul Rinpoche.
