Helping Siddhartha
A proper education is one of the greatest gifts a child can receive. In many Himalayan regions, education is rarely available to them as their families are most often extremely poor, and in many situations with only one parent. There is a particular demand for this kind of monastic education which permits children of Buddhist families, whether Tibetan, Tamang, Sherpa, Nepalese or Bhutanese, to retain the values of their culture. There is a steady inflow of new requests for places, and some very urgent demands have to go unsatisfied.
Accommodation in some of the monasteries is now stretched to the maximum. Old and overcrowded dormitories, lack of adequate sanitation etc. make the living conditions of the children unsatisfactory in many ways. To meet this pressing demand, Siddhartha is trying to raise funds for projects with the most urgent needs.

There are several ways you can help:
With your participation, however minimal, you can contribute to improving the life conditions of the children, including the provision of adequate food, clothing, medical care, and education. Major donors help to finance larger projects, such as school construction, teachers’ salaries, etc.
